Seller's Comments and Description:
The First 38 makes a great cruiser because of her ability to sail fast which helps you get to where you are going. Many sailors use 38 Firsts to race as she is easy to handle and sails well in all wind conditions. Willow offers a rebuilt interior with a standard but custom layout. There are 2 staterooms and 2 heads. (Only the forward head has a toilet) This owner has kept the cruiser as simple as possible with a solar panel that will run the new 12V refrigeration, 4- 6V golf cart batteries as the house bank, foot pump fresh water and the Cape Horn self steering system with a custom built in Tiller pilot for the Cape Horn rudder operation. This boat has a new Garmin plotter with radar, new mast top wind speed and direction and all new LED running lights for less power consumption. All the new interior lighting is LED with white and red lights for nighttime. The mast was removed and prepped for new wiring and all new stainless steel standing rigging was installed. Her fresh Awlgrip on the decks and transom shine and the opening hatches have all new seals. The rebuilt Perkins diesel now has 599 hours and a new blower for the engine space. The engine has great access from the front service area or lift up the cockpit hatch and there is even better access from the top. If sailing is your desire and a comfortable cruiser is in the budget, come and see this Beneteau and make your offer. Call Barry at 954-873-1800 if this Racer/Cruiser is for you.
